TMS #004: Aim for Positive Optimism
Emotional states change rapidly
It’s not possible to be happy all the time.
Instead of happiness, aim for positive optimism.
Here is how:
Hi there👋.
How’re you doing today?
I hope you’re happy. If not, no problem. You will be again.

Emotional states change rapidly.
You can stimulate a positive state or a feel-good mood via stimuli like watching kitten videos or eating a piece of chocolate.
And in the following second bad news moves you from happiness to upset within seconds.
No one can be positive all the time. You also need bad emotions to experience true fulfillment and be authentic.
A Harvard study showed that “society’s preoccupation with happiness inadvertently has resulted in greater levels of unhappiness.”
So, it’s better to aim for positive optimism than for happiness.
Even if you are struggling with negative emotional states, you will remain committed to the outcome with positive optimism.
While you experience bad feelings, you know that they are only temporary. You know there will be more blissful states and a bright future ahead.
Train this way of thinking and how to deal with emotions. See situations from different perspectives.
Life, in the long run, will always be good.
Thanks for reading. Have a great day.
